Formed in 1977 by Brother in laws Ilker Salih and Mustafa Mehmet. The name Cinar comes from Mustafa's village in Cyprus named after their popular Cinar trees.
Cinar entered the London Turkish Community League in 1977, under the leadership of Kamil Ahmet, a prominent figure in the Turkish Cypriot community. Success came in the early 1980's when they did back to back double's and also adding the League cup to their trophies.
early nineties saw Cinar to decide to call it a day, as kamil Ahmet decided to retire.
In the year 2005 Cinar was reformed by the current manager Ahmet Akil, who used to support them as a young boy.
The first year in this current league saw Cinar(although, they were named Yesilirmak) finish 5th. This year they were renamed Cinar Spor F.C.
